Air Crashes
Based on an international survey on aircraft accidents, a high percentage is attributed to Pilot Error. Mechanical/ Engine trouble and structural failure are only secondary factors of aircraft accidents. This is mainly due to more stringent air regulations on aviation safety, aircraft maintenance, engineering practices, state of the art structural design and more well trained aviation administrators. In the Philippines there is this old belief that aircraft crashes, fatal or not, always comes in three's. You wont believe this but this actually happened many times now. The most recent example was a Cebu Pacific Airbus that undershoot the runway in Davao. A week after another Cebu Pacific Airbus skidded the runway in Manila while landing during a heavy downpour. A few days later a Philippine Air Force bomber crashed somewhere in the seas of Palawan. Believe it or not!
